The modern curriculum is envisioned to be competency-based, learner-centered, and relevant for the 21st century needs of the workforce.
In 2020, CERD academic teams have worked diligently to develop a curriculum work plan and standard operating procedures that were agreed between MEHE and CERD, and approved by his Excellency Minister Al-Majzoub, as well as the Curriculum Higher Committee (CHC). This Committee was formed by Ministerial Decision and is composed of national stakeholders and representatives from the education sector (CERD, MEHE, Educational Inspectorate, Faculty of Education, and others). The CHC guides and oversees the curriculum development process and provides its final approval to institutionalize the new curriculum.
Attached below are the approved curriculum work plan (CWP) and the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
